THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS NOT A MATTER OF EATING AND DRINKING; BUT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE AND JOY IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

This moment in time, The LORD God Almighty, The LORD Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit is going to help us understand a very fundamental message regarding what the Kingdom of God entails.

A time has come, as it normally does when people all over the world are celebrating Christmas and the New Year; with the festive season by default almost taking 3 weeks from somewhere between 15th December to 3rd January . In most cases, even at work or at home people have literally “switched off”, waiting eagerly for the festive season. Many travel far and wide to be with their families, friends e.t.c in family gatherings and friends’ gatherings and yes even church gatherings. It is a moment when everything becomes a standstill in most places and homes. Most people are in a “relaxed mood”, “jovial mood”, “happy mood”; which is actually a very important thing for their well-being. But the question that then comes into the equation is: “Is It For Real Or It is Just a Fallacy, a passing cloud, a prototype? And what Is The connection of The Festive Season with The Kingdom of God?

This very fundamental equation is the basis of the message the LORD is helping us to decipher (decode/interpret) today. The festive season of Christmas is “rooted” on the birth of The LORD Jesus Christ; the True Saviour and Messiah of the world. Christmas is “supposed” to be a celebration of the birth of The Messiah Jesus Christ, who was born into the earth to come and live amongst mankind, and then to later die for mankind as a sacrifice for atonement of the sins of mankind who believes and submit their lives to Him as an acceptance of the Redemption He brought to them through His Precious Blood that He shed on the cross.

The other very critical segment that then comes to the equation is: How Was This Messiah That We Are to Celebrate His Birth Born? and What Was the Circumstances, The Situations and the Conditions of His Birth? Because therein is the message and the reason to celebrate His birth. Because when you and me knows the circumstances, the situations and the conditions of His birth, then we can now have the message and the reason with us even as we indeed celebrate His birth.

To help us understand this very deeper, because The Messiah Jesus Christ was born into the earth, His birth was proclaimed (prophesied) even before He was born (or put in the womb); meaning that His true and real identity was exposed and revealed even before He was born. This is very powerfully captured in the book of Luke 1:30~33 which states as follows: ‘“But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.  He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”. This is also in the book of Isaiah 7: 13~17 which states as follows: ‘“Then Isaiah said, “Hear now, you house of David! Is it not enough to try the patience of humans? Will you try the patience of my God also? Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. He will be eating curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right,  for before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right, the land of the two kings you dread will be laid waste. The Lord will bring on you and on your people and on the house of your father a time unlike any since Ephraim broke away from Judah—he will bring the king of Assyria.”

His birth was to be a sign from Heaven (The Kingdom of God), such that when He was born, indeed a bright star appeared on the sky; meaning that He must have come from The Kingdom of God in Heaven. This is very well captured in the book of Mathew 2:2 which states as follows: and asked, where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose…………..”

When He was born, people came to pay Him homage i.e. to worship Him, to revere Him and to show Respect to Him, and these included the wise, the intelligent and the wealthy lot; meaning that He MUST have been the source of Wisdom and Wealth, because if those who were wise and had wealth came and kneeled before Him and worshiped Him, then He MUST have been the source, the originator, the Alpha and the Omega (the beginning and the end) of wealth and wisdom: The LORD Himself. This is very well captured in the book of Mathew 2:1~2 which states as follows: ‘“After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi (wise men) from the east came to Jerusalem  and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him. Also in the book of Mathew 2:11 which states as follows: On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.”

He was born in a humble and a despised town known as Bethlehem, where “nothing good was expected to come from”; meaning that He MUST have come for the lowly and the poor in heart, the despised, the forgotten, the hapless, the hopeless (so that He could give them hope). This is very beautifully captured in the book of Micah 5:2 which states as follows: “But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.” The same is also captured in the book of Mathew 5:3 which states as follows: “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

He was born on a humble place: in a manger (a place used for sleep/rest by livestock cattle, sheep etc), meaning that He must have come to be amongst the sheep so that He could shepherd them and serve them, for He did not come to be served but to serve, that’s why He was not born in a guest house where people get served. This is very well captured in the book of Luke 2:4~7 which states as follows: ‘“So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David. He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child. While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them.”’

When He was born, an angel of The LORD appeared to renowned shepherds of the time to announce to them the good news of the coming of a saviour and a messiah for all people; meaning that He MUST have been the Great Shepherd who had finally come to shepherd the people (including other shepherds) to the best (ultimate) pasture and water. When He was born, there was a very massive presence and glory of The LORD; meaning that The LORD indeed had come to dwell (tabernacle) among mankind and so it was indeed a moment for praise and worship of The LORD in Truth and in the Spirit.  This is very powerfully captured in the book of Luke 2:8~ 14 which states as follows: ‘“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.  Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.”Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,“ Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.”

He was born of a virgin lady; meaning that He MUST have represented Purity, Righteousness and Holiness; meaning, set apart (separated/ consecrated) only for The LORD. This is very powerfully captured in the book of Luke 1: 34~35 which states as follows: “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.”’
When He was born, the political class, the ruling class, the royal Kingdoms felt threatened; meaning that He MUST have been the ultimate King; the King of kings and The LORD of lords who had come to destroy and uproot the kingdoms of darkness, the false prophets, the false pastors, the false apostles, the false messiahs. This is very powerfully captured in the book of Mathew 2:3~5 which states as follows: ‘“When King Herod heard this he was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him. When he had called together all the people’s chief priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born.  “In Bethlehem in Judea,” they replied, “for this is what the prophet has written.”’

When He (The Messiah) was born, The LORD God Almighty showed the magi( the wise men) the direction to follow so as to find The Messiah; meaning that indeed the path to follow, the path of The LORD MUST have been revealed to those who seek The LORD and inquire of The LORD. This is very well captured in the book of Mathew 2:9~10 which states as follows: ‘“After they had heard the king, they went on their way, and the star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed.”’

When He was born, then the route for deliverance and rescue was revealed as The LORD spoke through His servants through dreams and visions and revealed to them mysteries of the hour. This in essence was a very clear prelude to the Rapture of the bride of Christ, when the bride of Christ will be delivered/rescued through the rapture into Heaven as The LORD speaks very mightily through His servants on preparing the way for the coming of The LORD before the rapture happens. This is very powerfully captured in the book of  Mathew 2:13 which states as follows: ‘“When they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream.“Get up,” he said, “take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.” The same is also very powerfully captured in the book of Joel 2:28~29 which states as follows: “And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.”’

So having dissected and plucked out the Message from the Birth of The LORD Jesus Christ, then for sure we can now lay down the reasons why, what, which and how we need to celebrate the birth of The LORD Jesus Christ:

The first point is that the birth of The LORD Jesus Christ is all about The Kingdom of God. So we ought to be focused on the Kingdom of God as we celebrate the birth of The Messiah Jesus Christ. It thus should be a celebration of The Kingdom of God i.e. “Your Kingdom Come”. The Kingdom of God is in Heaven; so we need to be Heaven~focussed even as we celebrate the birth of The Messiah Jesus Christ.

The second point is that The Kingdom of God is in Heaven; and therein is where eternal life is domiciled (based). Eternal life is given through the redemption by The Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ, who paid the ultimate sacrifice at the cross of Calvary for purchase of the souls of those who believe in Him and have surrendered their lives to Him through Repentance of their sins and turning away from sin, evil and wickedness and are thus now walking in Righteousness, Holiness, truth and Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ. These then becomes heirs to the Kingdom of God in Heaven. Infact they immediately start their eternal life at the point of their redemption and surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ, as they partake to the highway of Righteousness, Holiness, Truth and Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ: The narrow road that leads to eternal life in The Kingdom of God in Heaven. Celebrating the birth of The Messiah Jesus Christ should thus be a celebration of eternal life; the life He came to give us in abundance. This is very well captured in the book of Mathew 7:13~14 which states as follows: Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”’ This is also very powerfully captured in the book of John 10:10 which states as follows: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full (abundance).

The third point is that, for one to gain entry into The Kingdom of God, it requires purification, cleansing, refining, washing, testing and sanctification. Only through the Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ, The Holy Fire from the throne room of Heaven and the anointing of The Holy Spirit can one be able to attain this purification, cleansing, washing, refining (like silver), testing (like gold) and sanctification( through the power of The Holy Spirit) that leads to Righteousness (being right before The LORD). This Righteousness of The Kingdom of The LORD God Almighty is so critical and should be the main focus of everyone that indeed wants to celebrate the birth of The LORD Jesus Christ in the Real and True way/manner. This is very powerfully and very beautifully captured in the book of Mathew 6:31~33 which states as follows: So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’  For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

The fourth point is that, one (a person) needs to be set apart, separated and consecrated for The LORD in order to stay pure and avoid being contaminated, polluted and defiled by the lifestyles of the world and what the world has to offer. They thus will remain Holy and attain Holiness before the LORD; because the Holy Spirit shall have purified them and sanctified them for appearance in (before) the presence of the LORD God Almighty in His Holy Kingdom in Heaven. This is very powerfully captured in the book of Hebrews 12:14~17 which states as follows: Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord. See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son. Afterward, as you know, when he wanted to inherit this blessing, he was rejected. Even though he sought the blessing with tears, he could not change what he had done.

The fifth point is that, one (a person) needs to submit themselves to The LORD Jesus Christ by Repenting of their sins and then turning away from sins, wickedness and evil. The LORD will then cleanse them, purify them, refine them (like silver), test them (like gold), wash them and sanctify them. This process involves breaking generational curses, breaking chains of slavery in sins and then being set free. This process thus comes with purging (removing) pride, filthiness and addictions e.t.c from a person, so that The LORD can establish humility and purity in a person and then The LORD can fill the person with the anointing of The Holy Spirit i.e. it is all about emptying a person in his/her soul, spirit, mind, heart and body so as to create room for the filling of the power and the anointing of The Mighty Holy Spirit. Once this is done, then the person can have the peace of The LORD, The joy of The LORD (The joy of salvation) that is essentially The Fruits of The Holy Spirit. Such a person can now Serve The LORD, be in the Presence of The LORD, Walk with The LORD and Worship The LORD in Truth and in The Spirit. Such a person can now be able to walk in Righteousness, Holiness, Truth and Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ because they shall have embraced Repentance for the forgiveness of their sins through the Precious Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ. This is very powerfully and very beautifully captured in the book of Psalm 51:7~12 which states as follows: ‘“Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”’  The same is also very powerfully captured in the book of Mathew 2:21~22 which states as follows: “No one sews a patch of unshrunk cloth on an old garment. Otherwise, the new piece will pull away from the old, making the tear worse. And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. Otherwise, the wine will burst the skins, and both the wine and the wineskins will be ruined. No, they pour new wine into new wineskins.”

Such a person shall therefore be the one who is Really and Truly celebrating the birth of The LORD Jesus Christ. For them, every day and every moment is a moment to celebrate the birth of The LORD Jesus Christ; because they are focusing on The Kingdom of The LORD God Almighty in Heaven and they recognize their redemption at The Cross of Calvary and The Power of The Precious Blood that was shed for them on the Cross (Everyday and every moment is “Christmas day” for them). As they celebrate the birth of The Messiah Jesus Christ, they give glory and honour only to The LORD because they have captured the Real and The True meaning of celebrating the Birth of The Redeemer of mankind. They have not transferred the glory and honour to Christmas tree, Santa Claus, balloons, clothing, food, immorality, drunkenness, discos etc. Whatever they are doing, they are only giving the glory and the honour to The LORD God Almighty, The LORD Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. This indeed thus becomes The Real Celebration of Christmas. Even if they eat food or do any other thing, it is for the glory and the honour of The LORD; their actions and behaviour as they celebrate the birth of The LORD Jesus Christ is worthy of their calling as children, servants, sons and daughters of The LORD.

This essentially means that those who celebrate Christmas, New Year celebrations etc and are not doing it for the glory and honour of The LORD, and do it in a manner, behaviour and action not worthy of their calling as children, servants, sons and daughters of The LORD are actually observing a pagan holiday. For them they claim to “celebrate the birth of The LORD Jesus Christ”, but in reality they are actually worshipping and serving the devil as they give him glory and honour during the “Christmas celebration” e.t.c. This is very well captured in the book of Mark 7:8 which states as follows: You have let go of the commands of God and are holding on to human traditions.”

We thus can conclude this whole message, by the WORD of The LORD that fully summarizes the teaching of The LORD that we have just had, and this WORD states as follows from the book of Romans 14:17~18  For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval.”

Meaning that the focus of those who are indeed really celebrating the birth of The LORD Jesus Christ is a spiritual focus where glory and honour is given only to The LORD God Almighty, The LORD Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit. On the other hand, the focus of those who are involved in a pagan celebration, in the name of “celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ” during Christmas festive season have their focus on how to gratify the evil desires of the flesh, and therein they involve themselves in evil physical gratification; what they pursue is what only glorifies and honours the devil.

Meaning that those who have a hunger and a thirst for the Righteousness of The Kingdom of The LORD God Almighty are those who are indeed really celebrating the birth of The LORD Jesus Christ as captured in the book of Mathew 5: 6 which states as follows: Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
