“I WOULD LIKE TO UNDERSTAND FULLY THE CONCEPT OF GETTING SAVED. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT IT MEANS, WHAT IS EXPECTED OF A SAVED CHRISTIAN?”

E-MAIL QUESTION RECEIVED:

‘“I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,

Before getting married, I was a Christian catholic. There are a few questions that I would appreciate if you shed light on them with the Help of The Holy Spirit. I would like to understand fully the concept of getting saved. I would like to know what it means, what is expected of a saved Christian, how should a saved Christian carry themselves, what is the price of being saved, what are the requirements for a person to get saved, what should one do or is there something a saved person should do, how many times does one need to be saved, any prayer or how can I get saved etc. Generally I would like to understand the whole concept of being saved. I pray that the Almighty God through His Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to guide you as you help me understand this.”’

Thank you in advance, God bless you.

RESPONSE:

Amen Sister XYZ,

Getting saved means being born again. Meaning that you now Repent of your sins in The Mighty Name and Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ and accept (believe) The LORD Jesus Christ as your LORD, Master and saviour. Salvation comes from what The LORD Jesus Christ did on the cross when He was offered as a perfect sacrifice (Lamb without defect) to pay the ultimate price for the sins of mankind through His precious Blood. So any human being who accepts The LORD Jesus Christ into their life when they Repent of their sins will become saved (born-again). Because they become renewed by The Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ that washes away their sins, as their names become written in The Book of Life in Heaven, and they begin their journey on the Narrow road (The Highway of Holiness, The Highway of Righteousness, The Highway of Truth, The Highway of Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ): The Road that leads to eternal life in The Kingdom of The LORD God Almighty in Heaven.

To Repent of sins means to go before The LORD Jesus Christ in humility in prayer and to ask Him to have mercy on you and to forgive you all your sins (including generational sins and curses) and to wash away all the sins with His Precious Blood and to baptize and anoint you with The Holy Fire and Holy Spirit so that you may now operate under the guidance, counseling, control, direction, help, nourishment and comfort of The Holy Spirit. Those who are born again now live by Spirit and not the flesh; their desire is no longer to gratify the evil desires of the flesh, but to be (their spirit) in one accord with The Holy Spirit.

Once you are now born again, then the past is gone, so turn away from a lifestyle of sin and live your life worthy of your calling as a daughter of The LORD. Your body thus becomes a temple of The Holy Spirit. You no longer conform to the patterns of this world, but you are transformed by the renewing of your mind, your soul, your spirit, your heart and indeed your body so that you walk in and follow the will of The LORD by knowing the ways and the requirements of The LORD. Read the Bible, pray, fast and fellowship with fellow believers in a Bible-believing, Holy Spirit-inspired Church that teaches about embracing Repentance for the forgiveness of sins and walking in Righteousness, Holiness, Truth and Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ in preparing the way for the coming of The LORD Jesus Christ.

Even though ideally, once one knows his/her folly (that he/she is in sin), he/she needs to submit and surrender their lives to The LORD Jesus Christ so as to become Born-again (receive salvation/get saved). However, it is always very important to go before The LORD for continuous purification, cleansing, washing, cleaning up and sanctification of your soul, spirit, mind, heart and body through the Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ, The Holy Fire and The anointing of The Holy Spirit. So going before The LORD everyday to Repent of your sins and asking Him to continuously cleanse you and purify you and fill you with His glory and anointing of The Holy Spirit is very essentially. You cannot over-Repent, so there is no problem with even repenting many times a day; it is a sign of humility before your Father in Heaven (The LORD God Almighty), it is also a sign of faithfulness before The LORD, and it is indeed also a sign of maintaining purity before The LORD.

To set you off, you can go before The LORD on your knees and say the below Salvation/Repentance Prayer:

SALVATION/REPENTANCE PRAYER

Precious Jesus,

I acknowledge today that you are LORD and savior of all mankind,

and today I have recognized my shortfall,

I repent and turn away from all sin.

Please cover me with your precious blood,

and establish your word in my life,

that I may be found in righteousness and holiness

and write my name in your book of life

and baptize me with the power of the Holy Spirit

in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

AMEN.

John 3:1-8 ‘“Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus who was a member of the Jewish ruling council. He came to Jesus at night and said, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher who has come from God. For no one could perform the signs you are doing if God were not with him.” Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”

John3:16-21 ‘“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”’

Galatians 5:16-26 ‘“So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.”’

Mathew 7:13-14 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”’

Romans 12:1-2 ‘“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”’

  1. Please pray for my aunt. She is dying of cancer and she still smokes. I asked her today to please stop smoking so she can be free and go to Heaven. She has smoked for 30 years.
