THE NICODEMUS EXPERIENCE IN JERUSALEM, ISRAEL IN THE PRESENT DISPENSATION

If you thought that the Nicodemus experience belongs to the past, a past that constituted when The LORD Jesus Christ was physically on the earth, then know that it (The Nicodemus experience) is present even today.

During a visit to the Western wall (the Wailing Wall) in Jerusalem and then a visit to see the Rabbis in their Rabbinate offices, I wanted to meet a couple of Rabbis and ask them about what they have to say about The LORD Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha Mashiach/Yahushua Ha Mashiach, in Hebrew), as per the instructions of The LORD to me. At western wall (The Wailing Wall), I observed all manner of traditions and religious rituals including kissing of the Wall. One does not become Repentant, Righteous and Holy by kissing a Wall.

So the first Rabbi I met in Jerusalem, I asked him about what he had to say about The LORD Jesus Christ (Yeshua/Yahushua). He then answered me in panic and in fear, occasionally looking around if someone is listening to him or watching him: ‘“We Don’t Talk About Him Here; We Are Not Allowed To Talk About Him. It Actually Borders On Absurdity And Illegality To Talk About Him Here. I Can Even Be Kicked Out And Even Be ‘Arrested’ For Talking About Him. So I Cannot Talk To You About Him As We Don’t Talk About Him Here.”’

These were the same people who were also called the Pharisees in the olden times. They are the religious (spiritual) rulers and leaders of the Jews (Israelites). They are part of the Jewish ruling council.

This first experience rings a bell about what is stated in the book of John 3:1-3 which states as follows: ‘“There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”’

Remember The LORD Jesus Christ also responded to Nicodemus (on behalf of all the Pharisees and Jewish Rabbis) as follows: ‘“Nicodemus answered and said to Him, “How can these things be?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Are you the teacher of Israel, and do not know these things? Most assuredly, I say to you, We speak what We know and testify what We have seen, and you do not receive Our witness.”’ 

I then went to a School of Orthodox Jews (The Hasidic Jews) who were undertaking their Rabbinate class, while some were studying the Torah. I went and sat next to one of them and I told him that I wanted to talk to him about something. I then asked him about what he can say about The LORD Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha Mashiach). He then answered me: “That is Some Wrong stuff.”

So from the above it became very clear to me that the Jewish Religious ruling council still remains (in the year 2015) essentially as a council of Rabbis, just as it was during the Nicodemus experience thousands of years ago. So just as the Rabbis back then thousands of years ago did not want anything to do with The LORD Jesus Christ, The Messiah (Yeshua Ha Mashiach/Yahushua Ha Mashich), it is still the case today. Remember, Nicodemus had to sneak in at night to see The LORD Jesus Christ so that he couldn’t not be spotted by other Rabbis or Rabbinate-leaning Jews; otherwise he could have essentially been ex-communicated from the Jewish Ruling  Council (that comprised and still comprises of leading Rabbis, the well-versed teachers of the Law: The Mosaic Law). This is what I observed when talking with the first Rabbi; I believe The LORD wanted me to speak to them (The Rabbis) so as to see the extent of the hardness of their hearts towards the Messiah Jesus Christ. In other words, The LORD wanted me to talk to the Hasidic (The Non-believers in Jesus Christ) Jewish Rabbis and not the Messianic Jewish Rabbis. I believe The LORD wanted me to speak to them (The Rabbis) so as to see the extent of the hardness of their hearts towards the Messiah Jesus Christ. 

So, it saddened my heart very heavily at the extent at which the Jews (The Israelites) have rejected The Messiah Jesus Christ (Yeshua Ha Mashiach). Now I understand first hand why The LORD speaks very painfully in the book of John 1: 11 which states as follows: “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.” I also likewise understand deeper why The LORD said also very painfully in the book of Isaiah 53:3 which states as follows: “He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.”

The LORD, however always has a remnant. So the consolation is that as much as The Jews (Israelites) have rejected The Messiah Jesus Christ, there is a small remnant of Jews (Israelites) that has accepted Him as their Messiah, sent to save the world through His Blood that He shed at the cross of Calvary. This remnant group of Jews that has accepted The LORD Jesus Christ as the Messiah (Their saviour and the saviour of the world) is known as The Messianic Jews. John 1: 12-13 ‘“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”’

On 16th August 2015, I had an opportunity to join the Messianic Jews and other Christians for a Sunday service in King of Kings Church in Jerusalem, Israel.

Let us pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. Let us pray that more souls in Israel (and indeed Jerusalem and all other places in the earth) will accept The Messiah Jesus Christ as their LORD, Master and saviour. Let us pray for the Peace of Israel (The House of Jacob; the seat of the throne of King David). Let us pray for the few genuine churches (The Body of Christ) in Israel (Including Jerusalem) to stand firm and strong in their belief in The LORD Jesus Christ.

PREPARE THE WAY FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN ABSOLUTE REPENTANCE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS, TRUTH AND COMPLETE SURRENDER TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH). TIME IS ABSOLUTELY OVER; THE MESSIAH JESUS CHRIST IS IMMINENTLY COMING TO PICK HIS BRIDE!!!   

REPENTANCE PRAYER: 

Precious Jesus, 

I acknowledge today that you are LORD and savior of all mankind, 

and today I have recognized my shortfall,

I repent and turn away from all sin. 

Please cover me with your precious blood, 

and establish your word in my life,

that I may be found in righteousness and holiness 

and write my name in your book of life 

and baptize me with the power of the Holy Spirit 

in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
