THE UNITED NATIONS (UN) REAFFIRMS “OBAMA’S” RESOLUTION 2334 OF THE YEAR 2016 AS THE BASIS OF “SOLVING” ISRAELI-PALESTINIAN CRISIS:

On 6th December 2018, something Peculiar happened: The United Nations General Assembly Passed a Resolution to reaffirm Past UN Resolutions (Particularly Resolution 2334 of the Year 2016) as the basis of dealing with Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Most “Vivid” and “Comprehensive” of these Resolutions is the one Passed on December 2016: UN Resolution 2334. It was developed after Paris Summit on Middle East Peace on December 2016.

The Resolution 2334 was pushed by Barack Obama in 2016, moments before he left the white House. It was actually a “Safe Bet”, a “Safe Seal”, a “Safe Fall-back”, a “Secret Weapon” by Obama, backed by Russia, China, France and Britain, moments (4 weeks) before Donald Trump was sworn-in. Resolution 2334 was actually meant to “Protect” Obama’s (and UN’s) Position (View point) regarding “solving” Israeli-Palestinian Conflict, so as to avoid the then “Incoming” Donald Trump from “diluting it”, “scraping it” or “imposing” a different View point when he entered the White House.

What this means is that Donald Trump’s “soon to be released” “Deal of The Century”, will have to be something almost similar to the UN Resolution 2334 for it to gain “Acceptance” at The United Nations (Particularly by the veto power wielding UN Security Council comprising of: Russia, China, France, Britain and The United States of America).

So by reaffirming on 6th December 2018 the UN Resolution 2334 of 23rd December 2016, The United Nations is essentially “Checkmating”, Stating its Position “Live and Clear” and to a big extent issuing a “Warning” to Donald Trump; even as he (and The United States of America) “soon” avails his Middle East Peace Plan.

Meaning that, even if Donald Trump “soon” avails his Middle East Peace Plan, when he eventually comes for “Rubber-stamping” at The UN, he will find awaiting him, The UN Resolution 2334 pushed by Obama and adopted by The UN in 2016. He will essentially have no option but to align it to be almost similar to the Resolution 2334, if he will want it to be “Accepted” and “Adopted” at The United Nations (Including at the Veto wielding UN Security Council).

The UN Resolution 2334 of 2016 (which was supported by All the UN Security Council members, including the United States of America) effectively called for the Dividing of the Holy Land of Israel into Two States: Israel and Palestine. It also effectively called for The Dividing of Jerusalem into Two: West Jerusalem and East Jerusalem. It also effectively Condemned Israel for Building and Settling in Parts of The Holy Land of Israel in Judea and Samaria (“West Bank”), and termed their Settlement their as “illegal”.

The Statement of the Resolution (A/73/L.49) on 6th December 2018 Reaffirming UN Resolutions (Including Resolution 2334 of 2016) stated as follows:

‘“COMPREHENSIVE, JUST AND LASTING PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST: The General Assembly, Recalling its relevant resolutions, Guided by the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, Reiterates its call for the achievement, without delay, of a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East on the basis of the relevant United Nations resolutions, including Security Council resolution 2334 (2016) of 23 December 2016, the Madrid terms of reference, including the principle of land for peace, the Arab Peace Initiative and the Quartet road map, and an end to the Israeli occupation that began in 1967, including of East Jerusalem, and reaffirms, in this regard, its unwavering support, in accordance with international law, for the two-State solution of Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security within recognized borders, based on the pre-1967 borders.”’

PART OF THE UN RESOLUTION 2334 OF DECEMBER 2016 STATED AS FOLLOWS:

1-‘“Condemning all measures aimed at altering the demographic composition, character and status of the Palestinian Territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, including, inter alia, the construction and expansion of settlements, transfer of Israeli settlers, confiscation of land, demolition of homes and displacement of Palestinian civilians, in violation of international humanitarian law and relevant resolutions, Expressing grave concern that continuing Israeli settlement activities are dangerously imperiling the viability of the two-State solution based on the 1967 lines”’

2-‘“Reiterating its vision of a region where two democratic States, Israel and Palestine, live side by side in peace within secure and recognized borders, Stressing that the status quo is not sustainable and that significant steps, consistent with the transition contemplated by prior agreements, are urgently needed in order to (i) stabilize the situation and to reverse negative trends on the ground, which are steadily eroding the two-State solution and entrenching a one-State reality, and (ii) to create the conditions for successful final status negotiations and for advancing the two-State solution through those negotiations and on the ground.”’
