This moment in time, The LORD
God Almighty; The God of Heaven, the earth and the entire Universe; The LORD
Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit is going to help us to understand
in a very detailed manner the deeper meaning and the significance of The Book
of Life.
This is the ultimate Book, the
Master Book of the entire universe and mankind. It is the book that
forms the benchmark of entry into Heaven; It is The LORD’s book of eternal
destiny of mankind.
So, The LORD is going to help
us to understand the significance of this Book (The Book of Life) as elaborated
and expounded below as we take this very deep journey on The Book of Life
Exposure:
1-The
Name of People Is Written in this Book of Life while at the same time the names
of people can be blotted out (removed) from this Book of Life depending on
their spiritual condition.
This spiritual condition is
dependent on the status of the garment that is worn by an individual. If
the garment worn is clean, bright, pure white and spotless then one’s name will
be written in the Book of Life and they become the joy (the delight) of The
LORD; infact they walk with The LORD since the presence of The LORD (The
Holy Spirit) is upon them and dwells in them. However, if one
dirtifies/soils/defiles their garment then their names are (will) be blotted
out (removed) from the Book of Life.
This is very beautifully
captured in the book of Revelation 3:4-5 which states
as follows: “Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have
not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in
white, for they are worthy. The one who is victorious will,
like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that
person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before
my Father and his angels.”
2-Anyone
Whose Heart Turns Away from The LORD and decides to go and worship idols and
other gods will bring disaster and the wrath of The LORD God Almighty upon
themselves; Because The LORD God Almighty is a jealous God and anyone
who departs from Him to go and follow idols and other gods will have broken His
cardinal commandment which states: ‘“I am the Lord your
God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. “You
shall have no other gods before me. “You shall not make
for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the
earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or
worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous
God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third
and fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing love to a
thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.”’
So, if anyone substitutes The
LORD God Almighty with idols and other gods which include Money, jobs, friends,
family, Property, Wooden carvings, metallic carvings and even false religions
and gods like allah, buddha, mohammed, krishna etc then The LORD
will blot out (remove) their names from under heaven i.e from The Book of
Life that is stationed in Heaven.
This is well captured in the
book of Deuteronomy 29:18-20 which states as
follows: ‘“Make sure there is no man or woman, clan or tribe
among you today whose heart turns away from the Lord our God to
go and worship the gods of those nations; make sure there is no root among you
that produces such bitter poison. When such a person
hears the words of this oath and they invoke a blessing on themselves,
thinking, “I will be safe, even though I persist in going my own
way,” they will bring disaster on the watered land as well as the
dry. The Lord will never be willing to
forgive them; his wrath and zeal will burn against them. All
the curses written in this book will fall on them, and the Lord will
blot out their names from under heaven. The Lord will
single them out from all the tribes of Israel for disaster, according to
all the curses of the covenant written in this Book of the Law.”’
3- Whoever
Has Sinned Against The LORD will Have Their Names Blotted Out of The Book of
Life; And only through Atonement of their Sins Will One Be forgiven and their
names Be written in the Book of Life. And the atonement for sins is Through The
Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ (The perfect and ultimate sacrifice). Whoever
does not have their sins atoned for by seeking, receiving and believing in The
Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ for forgiveness of their sins will perish
through eternal punishment in hell.
All this is wonderfully
captured in the book of Exodus 32:31-35which states as
follows: ‘“So Moses went back to the Lord and said, “Oh,
what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves
gods of gold. But now, please forgive their sin—but if not, then blot
me out of the book you have written.” The Lord replied
to Moses, “Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. Now
go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will
go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I
will punish them for their sin.” And the Lord struck the
people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron had made.”’
4- Those
whose names are written in The Book of Life will be Raptured into Heaven by
being Delivered (Rescued) From The Great Tribulation Period i.e.
before the onset of The Great Tribulation period.
So, at that very moment of the
Rapture, the question that will be asked to qualify or to disqualify one for
the Rapture (Deliverance) will be: “Is Your Name Written in The Book
of Life?”
This question will determine
whether one is Raptured or Left behind. And this is well captured in the book
of Daniel 12:1-4 which states as follows: “At
that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There
will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of
nations until then. But at that time your people—everyone whose
name is found written in the book—will be delivered. Multitudes who
sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life,
others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will
shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to
righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever. But you, Daniel,
roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the
end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”
5-The
Book of Life will be used during the Great white throne judgment. And it will
be used to check those whose names are not written in it; whereupon they will
be thrown into the lake of fire.
Remember, there is
another book which records everything (whether good or bad) that
is done by each and every person that ever lived on the earth; and each
person will be judged according to what they had done as recorded in
the books.
In the book of life; only
those whose sins have been atoned for through The Blood of The LORD Jesus
Christ; by them accepting The LORD Jesus Christ into their life and believing
in Him will have their names written in the book of Life. Meanwhile,
anyone who backslides or do sin and do not repent of their sins and plead for
mercy for forgiveness of their sins will have their names blotted out from The
Book of Life.
All this is very beautifully
captured in the book of Revelation 20:11-15 which
states as follows: “Then I saw a great white throne and him who
was seated on it. The earth and the heavens fled from his presence, and
there was no place for them. And I saw the dead, great and
small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another
book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were
judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. The
sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the
dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to
what they had done. Then death and
Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the
second death. Anyone whose name was not found written in the book of
life was thrown into the lake of fire.”
6- It
is also very important to note that during the White Throne of Judgment
whereupon the court of Heaven will be seated, The LORD God Almighty Himself
will be seated in this Court and the Central reference point will be The Books,
which will then be opened (Including The Book of Life). And this is
well captured in the book of Daniel 7:9-10 which states
as follows: ‘“As I looked, “thrones were set in
place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as
white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was
flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. A
river of fire was flowing, coming out from before him. Thousands
upon thousands attended him; ten thousand times ten thousand stood before
him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.”’
7-The
Redeemed of The LORD will be entitled to the inheritance of The LORD: The New
Jerusalem; which will be based in Heaven. Herein will be the glory, the light
and the honour of The LORD; because The LORD will dwell amongst His redeemed.
The Redeemed are only
those whose names will be found written in The Book of Life. This
is well captured in the book of Revelation 21:22-27 which
states as follows: ‘“I did not see a temple in the city,
because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple. The
city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God
gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp. The nations will walk by
its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their splendor into
it. On no day will its gates ever be shut, for there will be no
night there. The glory and honor of the nations will be brought into
it. Nothing impure will ever enter it, nor will anyone who does
what is shameful or deceitful, but only those whose names are written in the
Lamb’s book of life.”’
8-The Authority that The LORD Jesus Christ has given to His
believers to serve Him and to Overcome all the power of the enemy is ultimately
intended to ensure that their names are written in The Book of Life.
This should be the
ultimate joy for the believers in The LORD Jesus Christ. This
is well captured in the book of Luke 10:17-21 which
states as follows: ‘“The seventy-two returned with joy and
said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” He
replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. I have
given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all
the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. However, do not rejoice
that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in
heaven.” At that time Jesus, full of joy through the Holy
Spirit, said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because
you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to
little children. Yes, Father, for this is what you were pleased to do.”’
9- The
redeemed of The LORD will be those who are Holy, and upon where they will dwell
will be cleansed with the purifying Holy Fire of The LORD. The LORD will dwell
amongst the Redeemed, and since The LORD is Holy, even the place He will dwell
in will be Holy and those who will dwell with Him in His presence will be Holy
(The Redeemed). All the Holy Redeemed of The LORD will
be those whose names are written (recorded) in The Book of Life.
All this is well captured in
the book of Isaiah 4:2-6 ‘“In that day the
Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the
fruit of the land will be the pride and glory of the
survivors in Israel. Those who are left in Zion, who
remain in Jerusalem, will be called holy, all who are
recorded among the living in Jerusalem. The Lord will wash
away the filth of the women of Zion; he will cleanse the blood
stains from Jerusalem by a spirit of judgment and a spirit of
fire. Then the Lord will create over all of Mount
Zion and over those who assemble there a cloud of smoke by day and a glow
of flaming fire by night; over everything the glory will be a
canopy. It will be a shelter and shade from the heat of the day, and
a refuge and hiding place from the storm and rain.”’
This is also well captured in
the book of Hebrews 12:22-24 which states as
follows: “But you have come to Mount Zion, to the city of
the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem. You have come to thousands upon
thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to the church of the
firstborn, whose names are written in heaven. You have come to God,
the Judge of all, to the spirits of the righteous made perfect, to
Jesus the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that
speaks a better word than the blood of Abel.”
10- In
The record Book of The LORD, The LORD records all the tears shed by His
Faithful Children. When His faithful children will be redeemed into Heaven,
then all their tears (as recorded in the books) will be wiped away.
This is well captured in the
book of Psalm 56:5-9 ‘“All day long they twist my
words; all their schemes are for my ruin. They
conspire, they lurk, they watch my steps, hoping to take my
life. Because of their wickedness do not let them
escape; in your anger, God, bring the nations down. Record
my misery; list my tears on your scroll—are they not in your record? Then
my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I
will know that God is for me.”’
Then the reward out of this is
also well captured in the book of Revelation 21:3-4 which
states as follows: ‘“And I heard a loud voice from the throne
saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell
with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them
and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There
will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old
order of things has passed away.”’
11- The
wicked Ones will Have their names blotted out of The Book of Life. And they
will not share in the inheritance of The LORD with The Righteous. These
wicked ones are the enemies of The LORD God Almighty; the enemies of the
servants of The LORD; The enemies of the sons and daughters of The LORD.
This is well captured in the
book of Psalm 69:19-31 ‘“You know how I am
scorned, disgraced and shamed; all my enemies are
before you. Scorn has broken my heart and has left me
helpless; I looked for sympathy, but there was none, for
comforters, but I found none. They put gall in my
food and gave me vinegar for my thirst. May
the table set before them become a snare; may it become retribution
and a trap. May their eyes be darkened so they
cannot see, and their backs be bent forever. Pour
out your wrath on them; let your fierce anger overtake them. May
their place be deserted; let there be no one to dwell in their tents. For
they persecute those you wound and talk about the pain of those you
hurt. Charge them with crime upon crime; do not
let them share in your salvation. May they be blotted out of
the book of life and not be listed with the righteous. But
as for me, afflicted and in pain—may your salvation, God, protect me. I will
praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving. This
will please the Lord more than an ox, more than a bull with its
horns and hooves.”’
12 The
LORD Has a Plan for each and every person before they are even born; and this
is recorded in The Books of The LORD. This plan is not to destroy anyone but to
prosper everyone spiritually etc and in fulfilling the plan of The LORD for
their life.
So, it is upon every person to
be in the will of The LORD; by seeking The LORD in prayer, reading the word of
The LORD, praise & worship and listening to the voice of The LORD through
His direction and guidance; and this can only come through a complete surrender
to the LORD, so that The LORD can direct ones entire life. All this is well
captured in the book of Psalm 139:13-18 ‘“For
you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s
womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully
made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My
frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when
I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your
eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written
in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to
me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were
I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I
awake, I am still with you.”’
13 Those
who serve The LORD and stand firm in The LORD in preaching and spreading His
gospel will have their names written in The Book of Life.
So, in the Book of Life are
written the names of those who faithfully serve The LORD and remain firm in Him
in preaching and spreading His word. This is well captured in the book of Philippians
4:1-3 which states as follows: “Therefore, my brothers
and sisters, you whom I love and long for, my joy and crown, stand
firm in the Lord in this way, dear friends! I plead with
Euodia and I plead with Syntyche to be of the same mind in the
Lord. Yes, and I ask you, my true companion, help these women since they
have contended at my side in the cause of the gospel, along with Clement and
the rest of my co-workers, whose names are in the book of life.”
14- Anyone
who worships the beast (The Anti-Christ) and his image and takes the mark of
the beast, will have his/her name blotted out of the book of life i.e.
their names will not be found written in The Book of Life. All this is well
captured in the book of Revelation 13:7-8 which states
as follows: ‘“It was given power to wage war against God’s holy
people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe,
people, language and nation. All inhabitants of the earth will
worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of
life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.”’
This is further extensively
explained in the book of Revelation 17:7-8 which states
as follows: ‘“Then the angel said to me: “Why are you astonished?
I will explain to you the mystery of the woman and of the beast she rides,
which has the seven heads and ten horns. The beast, which you saw, once
was, now is not, and yet will come up out of the Abyss and go to its
destruction. The inhabitants of the earth whose names have not been
written in the book of life from the creation of the world will be
astonished when they see the beast, because it once was, now is not, and
yet will come.”’

Precious Jesus,
I acknowledge today that you
are LORD and Savior of all mankind,
and today I have recognized my
shortfall,
I Repent and turn away from
all Sin.
Please cover me with your
Precious Blood,
and establish your Word in my
life,
that I may be found in
Righteousness and Holiness
and write my name in your Book
of Life
and baptize me with the power
of the Holy Spirit
in the mighty name of Jesus
Christ.
