This moment in time, The LORD
is going to help us to understand a message concerning: The Sword of The
Spirit.
As we continue on this
spiritual journey, we will note, understand, realize and comprehend that indeed
The Sword of The Spirit is: The Word of God.
A sword as we literally know
is a weapon that is used in a battle (a war), and it is very durable, firm at
the handle and very sharp at the edges. It also has got a very special feature
in that it can easily be carried in its sheath (casing), while walking or even
while running and yes of course even while sitted or even while sleeping. It is
designed and specially made for flexibility, portability and movement.
1-This
essentially means that the sword of The Spirit is a very powerful tool and
element that has been presented as a weapon to be used in spiritual battles and
spiritual wars. This sword of The Spirit is a tool that The Holy Spirit
has availed to every human being all over the earth to use in navigating their
way through the spiritual battle and spiritual wars that they encounter and go
through every day of their life while here on the earth. This is actually the
ultimate gift that The LORD God Almighty handed over to every human being that
dwells on the earth, in their journey in preparing the way for entry into the
Kingdom of The LORD God Almighty in Heaven.
Since this is a sword that is
availed by The Holy Spirit to be used for spiritual wars and battles (and yes,
as the ultimate tool that shows every human being the direction and the path to
follow), it thus becomes very important to note that only The Holy Spirit can
interpret and help in understanding, grasping the deeper meaning, revelation,
secrets, mysteries that this Sword entails, presents and implies. Therefore,
everybody should ask The LORD to anoint them and fill them with The Holy
Spirit; the anointing and the power of The Spirit of The LORD, so that The Holy
Spirit to guide them, direct them, control them, comfort them, counsel them and
help them in understanding This Sword of The Spirit, so that they be able to
use it effectively and victoriously in the spiritual battle and the spiritual
wars.
2-The
Sword of The Spirit of The LORD is the word of God as is written, stipulated,
captured, mentioned and stated in The Holy Book of God: The Bible. This
is the Spirit-given nourishment from the throne room of Heaven to energize,
give hope, inspire, show direction, show guidance, show the way, reveal the
future & show the mysteries (of the past, the present and the future),
highlight the requirements & the ways of The LORD and provide help to each
and every human being on the earth.
So, as we have seen therein above,
there are spiritual battles and spiritual wars that every human being that is
ever created and born on the earth faces. This battle is known as, the battle
for souls for eternity.
The LORD God Almighty; Him who
created all human beings has been very gracious to the creature that He created
in His own image in that He has given and provided the Ultimate weapon that
Human being can use to fight and win this battle, and this weapon is known as:
The Sword of The Spirit.
This sword of The Spirit (as
we have seen above), is The Word of God as written in His Holy Book, The Bible.
The word of God thus becomes a very central and ultimate armour of God that
every human being needs to put on as stated in the book of Ephesians 6:17
which states as follows: “Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of
the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
3-It
is also very important to note that whenever and wherever The Sword of The
Spirit i.e. The Word of God is proclaimed, there is power.
A very sharp and piercing
power that reverberates across the spiritual realm. This is because the
mysteries of God are made known and the evil/dark (satanic) forces becomes
exposed and thus they become rattled by the very powerful and piercing Sword of
The Holy Spirit that ultimately causes them to be powerless and disarmed;
because they will have been pierced very sharply (right through the middle) by
the very powerful, very sharp and double-edged Sword of The Spirit: The Word of
God. This very powerfully captured in the book of Ephesians 6:19-20
which states as follows: “Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words
may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel,
for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly,
as I should.”
4-It is
also very important to note that whenever and wherever we humble ourselves
before The LORD and submit our soul, spirit, mind, heart and body to The LORD
by embracing Repentance for the forgiveness of our sins and thereby walking in
Righteousness, Holiness, Truth, Wisdom and Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus
Christ, then The LORD will release His presence upon us and we will be
able to find rest.
In so doing, we will emerge
victorious in the spiritual battle because we shall have partaken to The Sword
of The Spirit, which is The Word of God and so we will be able to resist the
devil through The Word of God when the devil comes with his evil schemes. The
devil will actually flee; because of his fear of The Sword of The Spirit which
if he jokes around, will pierce through him right in the middle. This is very
powerfully stated in the book of James 4:7-10 which states as
follows: ‘“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will
flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands,
you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail.
Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before The LORD, and he
will lift you up.”’
The same is also very well
summarized and powerfully captured in the book of Ephesians 6:10-13
which states as follows: ‘“Finally, be strong in The LORD and in his
mighty power. Put on the full armor of
God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our
struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the
authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces
of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that
when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you
have done everything, to stand.”’
5-This
Sword of The Spirit, which is The Word of God, is actually a very bright and
luminous lamp that shines and lights the way for those who have submitted
themselves to The LORD.
The Sword of The Spirit is
thus also a very bright and shinning tool that clears the path by getting rid
of dark, evil and hiding forces, so that we be able to walk through without any
harm. The light of the Sword of The Spirit (The Word of God) is so bright that
it blinds the evil forces, as the Sword clears the way for those who submit
themselves to The LORD. This light meanwhile, is actually The Light that comes
from the throne room of Heaven, sent by The LORD God Almighty so that those who
submit themselves to The LORD may have eternal life, because this light
actually clears the path that leads to eternal life in Heaven. This Sword of The
Spirit, which is The Word of God is actually The LORD Jesus Christ; The
Messiah, The Saviour of mankind.
This means that the Word of
God is The LORD Himself. That means that The Sword of The Spirit is The LORD
Himself. This is very well captured in the book of Psalm 119:105-112
which states as follows: ‘“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my
path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous
laws. I have suffered much; preserve my life, LORD, according to your word.
Accept, LORD, the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me your laws. Though I
constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law. The wicked
have set a snare for me, but I have not strayed from your precepts. Your
statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart. My heart is set
on keeping your decrees to the very end.”’
The same is also very
powerfully captured in the book of John1:1-13 which states as
follows: ‘“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were
made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and
that life was the light of all mankind.
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
There was a man sent from God whose name was John. He came as a witness to
testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as
a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to everyone was coming
into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him,
the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own
did not receive him. Yet to all who did
receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become
children of God—children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or
a husband’s will, but born of God.”’
6-It
is also very important to note that the sword of The Spirit is very active and
is very sharp; sharper than any weapon. The Sword of The Spirit thus penetrates
every inch of anything and everything; and because the Sword of The
Spirit has got a very brilliant light, it sees through the darkest corners of
everything.
So, all sin and the darkness
of the evil forces and sinful people is all clear to Him (The Word of God: The
LORD), because this very bright Sword sees through all and nothing is hidden
from the Sword. That means that The Word of God reveals all mysteries.
The word of God essentially
judges all, because we will all give account to The LORD God Almighty based on
what His Word says i.e. The Sword of The Spirit, which is the word of God is
the basis to which every human being will be judged (will be held to account).
But them who have submitted themselves to The LORD and are walking in the ways
and the requirements of The LORD will rest in His presence, because The Sword
of The Spirit, which is The Word of God, shall have showed them the way to
eternal life in the Kingdom of The LORD God Almighty in Heaven. They will thus
have taken to The LORD, and will have been Victorious through His Word (The
Sword of The Spirit: The Word of God).
This is very powerfully stated
in the book of Hebrews 4:12-16 which states as follows: ‘“For
the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it
penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the
thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from
God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to
whom we must give account. Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has
ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we
profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our
weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we
are—yet he did not sin. Let us then
approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy
and find grace to help us in our time of need.”’
7-It
is also very important to note that The Sword of The Spirit, which is The Word
of God is actually also very sharp enough to pierce through our soul, spirit,
mind, heart and body to cleanse us, purify us, refine us, clean us, revive us
and sanctify us because it purges (removes) the chains of sins (including
addictions) that we could be/are in bondage in. This includes the
chains of generational curses and evil spiritual ties that we may be in, some
dating back many years and centuries ago.
The Sword of The Spirit thus
breaks loose these evil chains and so we are set free so that we be able to now
worship The LORD in spirit and in truth. Him/her who is set free will be free
indeed, including those who did not even know that they were in spiritual
bondage.
The LORD then creates in us a
pure heart, for He breaks, pierces and crushes through The Sword of The Spirit
the evil heart (the heart of stone) that we initially had; for then we will now
know the truth of The LORD, which is The Word of God, and we will now have a
contrite and a broken heart that thrives in The Spirit of humility and void of
the spirit of pride and sin: This then becomes the delight of The LORD
concerning our life. This is very powerfully written in the book of Psalm
51:10-17 which states as follows: ‘“Create in me a pure heart, O
God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence
or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and
grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your
ways, so that sinners will turn back to you. Deliver me from the guilt of
bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your
righteousness. Open my lips, LORD, and my mouth will declare your praise. You
do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in
burnt offerings. My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite
heart you, God, will not despise.”’
This is also very meticulously
captured in the book of John 8:31-47 which states as follows: ‘“To
the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are
really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you
free.” They answered him, “We are Abraham’s descendants and have never been
slaves of anyone. How can you say that we shall be set free?” Jesus replied,
“Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no
permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son
sets you free, you will be free indeed. I know that you are Abraham’s
descendants. Yet you are looking for a way to kill me, because you have no room
for my word. I am telling you what I have seen in the Father’s presence, and
you are doing what you have heard from your father.” “Abraham is our father,” they answered.“ If
you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do what Abraham did.
As it is, you are looking for a way to kill me, a man who has told you the
truth that I heard from God. Abraham did not do such things. You are doing the
works of your own father.” “We are not illegitimate children,” they protested.
“The only Father we have is God himself.”
Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I
have come here from God. I have not come on my own; God sent me. Why is my
language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. You belong to your father, the devil, and you
want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning,
not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks
his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Yet because I
tell the truth, you do not believe me!
Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why
don’t you believe me? Whoever belongs to
God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong
to God.”’
8-It
is also very important to note that the Sword of The Spirit, which is the Word
of God is actually what will stand against all the evil doers who have (shall
have) refused to submit themselves to The LORD for purification,
cleansing, refining and sanctification. As they shall have failed/refused to
submit themselves to/before The LORD in Repentance for the forgiveness of their
sins and thereby walking in Righteousness, Holiness, Truth, Wisdom and Complete
Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ.
This Sword of The Spirit,
which is The Word of God is what will destroy them, slaughter them and strike
them down. This is because the Sword of The Spirit which is sharper than any
weapon, and is indeed a double edged sword, will pierce through them and
destroy them, for then The Word of God will testify against them, because they
had not walked according to the Word of God which was actually meant to show
them the direction and the path that leads to eternal life in Heaven.
Remember, the Sword of The
Spirit (The word of God) illuminates and lights up the path to the eternal
life, and whoever does not walk on the path illuminated by the sword of The
Spirit (The Word of God) is actually walking in darkness and so is heading to
eternal darkness in hell for eternal damnation; for then they shall have
condemned themselves to destruction as a result of not seeking and walking on
the path to eternal life in Heaven, which is the Word of God: The LORD Jesus
Christ, The sword of The Spirit.
The LORD actually judges,
reigns and rules by The Word of God.
All these are very powerfully
captured in the book of Revelation 19:11-16 which states as
follows: ‘“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse,
whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and wages war.
His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name
written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and
his name is the Word of God. The armies
of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen,
white and clean. Coming out of his mouth
is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations. “He will rule them with
an iron scepter.” He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God
Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh
he has this name written: KING of Kings and LORD of Lords.”’
This is actually also very
well elucidated in the book of John 3:16-21 which states as
follows: ‘“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God
did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world
through him. Whoever believes in him is
not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because
they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the
world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were
evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light
for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be
seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”’
Finally, it is very important
to note that The Sword of The Spirit, which is The Word of God is everlasting
and is anchored into eternity i.e. forever and ever, and this sword of The
Spirit (The Word of God) remains the same yesterday, today and forever. This is
thus very well summarized in the book of Mathew 24:35 which
states as follows: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will
never pass away.” This is
furthermore broken down further for better spiritual digestion in the book of Hebrew
13:8 which states as follows: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday
and today and forever.”
Let us therefore Run to and
partake of The Sword of The Spirit: The Word of God. The Messiah Jesus Christ;
The Saviour of mankind.

and Baptize me with the Power of The Holy Spirit
