LIGHT OF THE LORD AND LIFE THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT

This moment in time are going to take a journey to understand: The Light of The LORD. Then later on we will discuss: Life through The Holy spirit.

So the light of The LORD essentially refers to the headway that clears the path for the children of The LORD to follow so that the way is fully illuminated so that the children of The LORD are not consumed by darkness. This darkness reigns on the earth. This darkness can only be overcome by The Light of The LORD; the light that emanates straight from the throne room of Heaven. For this light to reach the earth, then it must have its origin from The LORD and hence: The Light of The LORD. This very deep revelation was revealed by The LORD to His servant John the Apostle. This is well stated in the book of John 1:1-5 which states as follows: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.”

This light of The LORD thus came to liberate and set the captives free; them who were held in bondage of darkness. So all who recognize their status of captivity in darkness and thus desire to be set free so as to walk in the light that was released from the throne room of Heaven become entitled to be referred to as The children of God; because they embraced The Light that came from The LORD God Almighty and thus became children of The Light for now they had been freed from the yoke, the chains and the bondage of darkness. That is why it is very well expounded in the book of John 1:6-14 which states as follows: “There came a man who was sent from God; his name was John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all men might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world. He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God —children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

It now then becomes very clear that the word of God is actually this Light of The LORD that was given and sent by The LORD God Almighty to set the captives of darkness free so that they can acquire the new status of being the children of God; by believing in and embracing The Light of God. This word of God then is God in written form, popularly known as The Bible. The Bible is thus essentially The LORD expressed in written form; and so the Word of God becomes The Light to them who believe in Him who was sent as The Light of The LORD to liberate and to set free the captives on the earth from darkness. The entire Bible is thus all about The Light of The LORD; the liberator of the captives of darkness, him through whom the right to become children of God is acquired. His name is The LORD Jesus Christ; The Word of God. That’s why we find David, the servant of The LORD God Almighty worshiping The LORD by saying the following in the book of Psalm. 119:105 which states as follows: Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.

This liberator, The Light of The LORD, The Word of God had been there from the beginning, He is the Alpha and the Omega. His name is The LORD Jesus Christ. All this is well stated in the book of John 1:1-4 which states as follows: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. And also in the book of John 1:14 which states as follows: The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

This Light of The LORD that comes to set the captives of darkness free actually ushers the children of God (Them who have embraced The Light of The LORD) to eternal life. He comes to bring salvation to those who believes in Him (The Light of The LORD) and thus essentially ushers them to eternal life in the kingdom of the LORD God Almighty in Heaven. All this is well stated in the book of John 3:16-21 which states as follows: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God.”

That’s why The LORD through His servant Isaiah sends out this invitation for everyone everywhere to come to this light in order to receive their salvation. This is well stated in the book of Isaiah 2:5 which states as follows: “Come, O house of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the LORD.”

This clarion call of The LORD is a matter of urgency because time is absolutely over. So it is time to put on the armour of Light (The LORD Jesus Christ) so as to put aside the deeds of darkness. This is well stated in the book of Romans 13:11-14 which states as follows: “And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armour of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.”

We are now shifting to the second segment. In this second segment, The LORD is going to help us understand what it entails regarding: Life through The Holy Spirit.

So having taken a journey concerning The Light of The LORD, it is very paramount to note that once The Light of The LORD liberates us from the chains of darkness, the Spirit of The LORD (The Holy Spirit) then helps us and takes us through the life that follows i.e. Life through The Holy Spirit.

Living through The Holy Spirit means that we now live our life to fulfill The Holy Spirit desire. Our soul, spirit, mind, heart and body are now controlled by The Holy Spirit. So we are no longer slaves to sin orchestrated by sinful nature. This is well stated in the book of Romans 8:5 which states as follows: “Those who live according to the sinful nature have their minds set on what that nature desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

It is also very important to note that when we are living our life through The Holy Spirit, we actually have eternal life and peace that comes through The Light of The LORD that shines upon us and in us. So our flesh (body) becomes dead to sin for now we are pursuing the righteousness that comes through the spirit. This is well stated in the book of Romans 8:6-13 which states as follows: “The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God. You, however, are controlled not by the sinful nature but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. Therefore, brothers, we have an obligation — but it is not to the sinful nature, to live according to it. For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live.”

It is also very important to note that when the spirit of The LORD is living in us, then we are entitled to the status of being children of God (through sonship and daughtership). So we become entitled to inherit the kingdom of God in Heaven together with the first-born son: The LORD Jesus Christ. Since He suffered in order to be glorified, then we too must share in the suffering so as to share in the glory. And this is well stated in the book of Romans 8:14-18 which states as follows: “because those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

It is also very important to note that when The Holy Spirit lives in us, then He intercedes for us and teaches us how to pray and what we ought to pray for. And in so doing, The Holy Spirit directs us towards the will of The LORD over our life. And this is well stated in the book of Romans 8:26-27 which states as follows: “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints in accordance with God’s will.”

It therefore becomes very important to note that when our body becomes dead to sin since our body is passed through The Holy Fire of The LORD that leads to refining, purification, cleansing and Sanctification by the blood of The LORD Jesus Christ and the anointing power of The Holy Spirit, then our spirit-man is uplifted because it will be oiled (Sanctified) by the power of The Holy Spirit and thus will emit a sweet aroma to The LORD God Almighty. This will be a sacrifice holy and pleasing to God. This in itself will be an acceptable form of worship before The LORD God Almighty; the worship in truth and in spirit. All this is well summarized in the book of Romans 12:1 which states as follows: “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God — this is your spiritual act of worship.

It is also very important to note that when The Holy Spirit lives in us, then He revives us by transforming our thinking by renewing our mind and in so doing directs us away from conforming to the standards of the world and points us towards the perfect will of The LORD God Almighty. This is well stated in the book of Romans 12:2 which states as follows: “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

It is also very important to note that we should at all times we should always embrace humility, and no pride and arrogance should be found near us. When we are humble then we will recognize that it is by the Spirit of God that we accomplish everything; and so it is not by our might or power but by The Spirit (The Holy Spirit). This is well stated in the book of Zechariah 4:6-10 which states as follows: '“So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty. “What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’” Then the word of the Lord came to me: “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you. “Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?”'

That’s why, we find that because of pride and arrogance, King Nebuchadnezzar was removed from his throne by The LORD God Almighty. This is well stated in the book of Daniel 4:28 -31 which states as follows: '“All this happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. Twelve months later, as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, he said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?” The words were still on his lips when a voice came from heaven, “This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you.”'

Only when Nebuchadnezzar humbled himself before The LORD God Almighty and recognized that it is not by might or power but by The Spirit of The LORD was he restored to his throne. This is well stated in the book of Daniel 4:34 which states as follows: “At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever.

It is through the baptism and the anointing of The Holy Spirit that one becomes born again and so becomes a candidate for entry into The Kingdom of God Almighty in Heaven. So The Holy Spirit fills ones spirit and directs them towards the will of God Almighty and hence one now operates in the spirit because their spirit will thus have been renewed and revived. This is captured in the book of John 3:5-6 which states as follows: '“Jesus answered, “I tell you the truth, no-one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit [Or but spirit] gives birth to spirit.”'
