THE GUIDANCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THE TRUE WORSHIP: THE WORSHIP IN TRUTH AND IN SPIRIT, AS A RESULT OF VISITATION, TOUCH AND ENCOUNTER WITH THE LORD

This moment in time The LORD is going to help us in understanding the true worship: the worship in Truth and in Spirit. This true worship can only be achieved/attained when one has had an encounter with The LORD through the touch and visitation of The LORD through the anointing of The Holy Spirit; and so one thus acquires the discerning Spirit (The Holy Spirit) who then guides one to the true worship.
To help us in dissecting and grasping this message, The LORD is going to take us through a spiritual journey concerning King Solomon, and we are going to pluck out some very key message to everyone everywhere on planet earth concerning true worship: the worship in Truth and in Spirit:
1- To set us off, we will note that Solomon was an erratic person, who despite the fact that he walked according to the instructions given him by his father King David, but at the same time he was also worshipping idols by offering sacrifices to idols and even burning incenses to the devil. He was thus a very lukewarm person (servant of The LORD). He even made an alliance (treaty) with a foreign entity and even married her daughter; the daughter who must have led him astray in worshipping idols at the high places. So Solomon was involved in a worship that was focused on the world and not focused on Heaven; this kind of worship that Solomon practiced involved compromising with the filthiness/defilement that the world had to offer like idolatry and the love of the evil lifestyle of the world.
This is very well captured in the book of 1st Kings 3:1-3 which states as follows: Solomon made an alliance with Pharaoh king of Egypt and married his daughter. He brought her to the City of David until he finished building his palace and the temple of the Lord, and the wall around Jerusalem. The people, however, were still sacrificing at the high places, because a temple had not yet been built for the Name of the Lord. Solomon showed his love for the Lord by walking according to the instructions given him by his father David, except that he offered sacrifices and burned incense on the high places.”
2-From the above, we find that only by the grace of The LORD God Almighty, The LORD Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit through His servant King David was Solomon acceptable before The LORD despite his very gross shortcomings and evil practices. Remember, The LORD extends His grace and love to generations of His faithful servants; so Solomon was tapping into this grace that The LORD was extending as a result of His faithful servant King David, who was Solomon’s father.
This is very well captured in the book of Deuteronomy 7:9-13  which states as follows: Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments. But those who hate him he will repay to their face by destruction; he will not be slow to repay to their face those who hate him. Therefore, take care to follow the commands, decrees and laws I give you today. If you pay attention to these laws and are careful to follow them, then the Lord your God will keep his covenant of love with you, as he swore to your ancestors. He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers. He will bless the fruit of your womb, the crops of your land—your grain, new wine and olive oil—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you.”
3-So, we find that while Solomon was busy offering sacrifices to idols (the devil), having actually visited the shrine and the site of idol worship, The LORD in His grace and love decided to alter the kind and the form of worship that Solomon was involved in. The LORD thus revealed Himself to Solomon by appearing to him in a very tremendous and mighty visitation of The LORD. The LORD then had a very deep and mighty conversation with Solomon during His very mighty visitation to him. The LORD thus directed Solomon to the kind of worship that is acceptable before Him; the worship in Truth and in Spirit. The worship that can only be attained when one has got a discerning Spirit: The Holy Spirit.
This very mighty and tremendous visitation of The LORD to Solomon that essentially altered his form and manner of worship is very beautifully captured in the book of 1st Kings 3:4-9 which states as follows: ‘“The king went to Gibeon to offer sacrifices, for that was the most important high place, and Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altarAt Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the night in a dreamand God said, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.” Solomon answered, “You have shown great kindness to your servant, my father David, because he was faithful to you and righteous and upright in heart. You have continued this great kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his throne this very day. “Now, Lord my God, you have made your servant king in place of my father David. But I am only a little child and do not know how to carry out my duties. Your servant is here among the people you have chosen, a great people, too numerous to count or number.  So give your servant a discerning heart to govern your people and to distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able to govern this great people of yours?”’
4-So during the visitation of The LORD, Solomon asked for something that was extraordinary, and this pleased The LORD. Solomon thus sought the kingdom of God and it’s Righteousness. The LORD then promised to add him more of what he had not asked for; because he asked for the ultimate gift from the Kingdom of God in Heaven: a discerning Spirit, the anointing of The Holy Spirit, The Wisdom that comes from the throne room of Heaven.
This is very well captured in the book 1st Kings 3:10-13 which states as follows: The Lord was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. So God said to him, “Since you have asked for this and not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked for the death of your enemies but for discernment in administering justice, I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be. Moreover, I will give you what you have not asked for—both wealth and honor—so that in your lifetime you will have no equal among kings.”
This is the same message that The LORD Jesus Christ later explained in a more profound detail in the book of Mathew 6:28-34 which states as follows: “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?  So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”’
5-The LORD also promised Solomon that if He walked faithfully before Him in obedience and followed His decrees and requirements i.e. by embracing Repentance for the forgiveness of sins, walking in Righteousness, Holiness, Truth and Complete Surrender to The LORD, then The LORD was to give him eternal life.
This is very well captured in the book of 1st Kings 3:14 which states as follows: And if you walk in obedience to me and keep my decrees and commands as David your father did, I will give you a long life.”
6-After having had this spiritual encounter with The LORD, the form and the manner of worship of Solomon changed. He embraced the worship in Truth and in Spirit, and he now went where true worship was found: in the presence of The LORD in His Holy altar.
Unlike in the past where he worshipped at the high places of idolatry, Solomon thus now sought where The LORD God Almighty could be worshipped in Truth and in Spirit, he thus discarded the falsehood he was initially involved in and the lukewarmness he was practicing; and so he went straight to the path of The LORD: The path of Repentance, Righteousness, Holiness, Truth and Complete Surrender to The LORD.
This is very beautifully captured in the book of 1st Kings 3:15 which states as follows: Then Solomon awoke—and he realized it had been a dream. He returned to Jerusalem, stood before the ark of the Lord’s covenant and sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then he gave a feast for all his court.”
Therefore the message The LORD is passing across to everyone everywhere on planet earth is that: when one encounters The LORD they can never remain the same again, even their form, manner and way of worship changes; for then they will worship The LORD in Truth and in Spirit.
This encounter can be through dream, vision, reading the word of The LORD (The Bible), prayer, meditation in the presence of The LORD, praising & worshiping The LORD, physical manifestation of the move of The LORD etc.
