At this juncture, The LORD is
going to help us to walk through the benefits (the rewards) of Repentance.
In
other words, what is in it for us/you after we/you return to The LORD in
absolute Repentance:
1-Your
will be forgiven and your sins washed away by The Blood of The LORD Jesus
Christ, and you will thus be restored before The LORD The God of
Heaven, as a faithful son and daughter of The LORD. Your name will also be written
in the Book of Life in Heaven.
Do not go back to a lifestyle
of sin (s), so that you don’t undo the good that has been done to you, by The
LORD.
2-There
will be healing in the land: This is the physical healing; spiritual
healing; emotional healing; restoration of family-hood, whereupon the hearts of
the parents will be turned to their children, and the hearts of the children
will be turned to their parents; social healing; institutional/Corporate
healing etc. This will thus be a very fundamental benefit of Repentance. This
is well captured in the book of Hosea 14:4 which states as
follows: “I will heal their waywardness and love them freely, for my
anger has turned away from them.”
The same is expounded on in
the book of Malachi 4:5-6 which states as follows: “See, I
will send the prophet Elijah to you before that great and dreadful day of The
LORD comes. He will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the
hearts of the children to their parents; or else I will come and strike the
land with total destruction.”
The same is also well
elucidated on in the book of Malachi 3:1-5 which states as
follows: ‘“I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me.
Then suddenly The LORD you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger
of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says The LORD Almighty. But who
can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be
like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and
purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and
silver. Then The LORD will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness,
and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to The LORD, as in
days gone by, as in former years. “So I will come to put you on trial. I will
be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those
who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless,
and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,” says The
LORD Almighty.”’
3- The
LORD will pour out His anointing upon His Children (sons and daughters):
The LORD will anoint, fill and touch His children, sons and daughters across
the globe with the power of The Holy Spirit, and so The LORD will be “like dew
to them.”
They will thus do exploits in
the name of The LORD, and by the power bestowed upon them by The LORD, The LORD
will move very Mightily and very Greatly through them. People everywhere across
the globe will know that surely these are a blessed and a chosen royal
priesthood of The LORD.
So, they will shine brightly
for The LORD (In the presence of The LORD) as they serve Him. They will thus
preach and spread His pure message: The message of Repentance, Righteousness,
Holiness, Truth, Wisdom and Complete Surrender to The LORD Jesus Christ.
They will thus be nourished by
the anointing of The Holy Spirit, and through them people will know that there
is hope, a future, peace, joy, love and eternal life only through The LORD
Jesus Christ. This indeed will be a very fundamental fruit of Repentance.
They will thus be the
ministers of the word of God, for they will emit the goodness, the power and
the glory of The LORD that has been bestowed upon them by The LORD, as is
stated in the book of Proverbs 15:30 which states: “Light
in a messenger’s eyes brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to
the bones.”
This is all very beautifully
captured in the book of Hosea 14:5-7 which states as follows: ‘“I
will be like the dew to Israel; he will blossom like a lily. Like a cedar of
Lebanon he will send down his roots; his young shoots will grow. His splendor
will be like an olive tree, his fragrance like a cedar of Lebanon. People will
dwell again in his shade; they will flourish like the grain, they will blossom
like the vine—Israel’s fame will be like the wine of Lebanon.”’
The same is also very well
expounded in the book of Joel 2:28-29 which states as follows: ‘“And
afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters
will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those
days.”’
4- The
Wisdom of The LORD will be upon His People: Those who walk in the fear
of The LORD, The LORD will bestow upon them the Spirit of discernment. The LORD
will teach them and reveal to them very deep mysteries. They will understand
very deep spiritual connotations and implications; not by their might nor
power, but by The Spirit of The LORD. They will thus avoid evil and wickedness,
but will embrace Righteousness, Purity, Holiness, Wisdom and Truth.
This is well captured in the
book of Hosea 14:9 which states: “Who is wise? Let them
realize these things. Who is discerning?
Let them understand.”
The same is also very well
captured in the book of Job 28:27-28 which states as follows: ‘“Then
he looked at wisdom and appraised it; he confirmed it and tested it. And he
said to the human race, “The fear of The LORD—that is wisdom, and to shun evil
is understanding.”’
5- The
Prayer of the Righteous will be answered: The Repentant will thus no longer
(if they used to) go to/for witchcraft or to witch-doctors for their queries or
concerns or for answers; but now they will seek The LORD their God, for then He
will be their helper, for this far He shall have brought them (Jehovah
Ebenezer). Since they will now be Righteous before The LORD, The LORD will
listen to them and answer their prayers and He will protect them, provide for
them and nourish them with the Spiritual food (the anointing of The Holy
Spirit). They will thus bear, enjoy and partake of the fruits of Repentance.
This is very beautifully
captured in the book of Hosea 14:8 which states: “Ephraim,
what more have I to do with idols? I
will answer him and care for him. I am like a flourishing juniper; your
fruitfulness comes from me.”
Remember, the Repentant shall
have thus attained Righteousness before The LORD and so they will partake of
the word of the book of Proverbs 15:29 which states as follows: “The
LORD is far from the wicked, but he hears the prayer of the Righteous.”
6- They
(you/we) will walk on the Way of The LORD; The wise will walk on the
highway of The LORD. The way upon which only the Righteous and the Holy ones
walk: The Highway of Holiness.
Those who have not attained
the benchmark of Righteousness, Holiness, Truth, Wisdom and Complete Surrender
to The LORD Jesus Christ cannot journey (walk) on it. This is because they are
not qualified to partake of it; they will thus essentially stumble on it
because The Holy Fire of The LORD will consume them and destroy them. The
garment that they will be wearing will be a garment (s) of poor quality (filthy
garments) that will be burned by the Fire of The LORD. They thus shall not have
the pure garment of The LORD required for one to walk/journey on this Way/Road:
The Highway of Holiness.
This is well captured in the
book of Hosea 14:9 which states as follows: “The ways of
The LORD are right; the righteous walk in them, but the rebellious stumble in
them.”
This is also well captured in
the book of Isaiah 35:8-9 which states as follows: ‘“And a
highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for
those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools
will not go about on it. No lion will be there, nor any ravenous beast; they
will not be found there. But only the redeemed will walk there.”’
The Pure garment of The LORD
required for one to walk/journey on this Way/Road is thus the garment of
Righteousness, the garment of Holiness, the garment of Wisdom, the garment of
Repentance: Fine linen, bright and clean. It essentially is the Purity of
heart: a clean, a pure, a contrite heart.
The same is also well elucidated
in the book of Zechariah 3:3-5 which states as follows: ‘“Now
Joshua was dressed in filthy clothes as he stood before the angel. The angel
said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” Then
he said to Joshua, “See, I have taken away your sin, and I will put fine
garments on you.” Then I said, “Put a
clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed
him, while the angel of The LORD stood by.”’
7-They
(you/we) will enter into the Glorious Kingdom of God in Heaven, for Eternal
Life:
To crown it all, those (The
Bride of Christ) who walk on the way of The LORD, will be honoured and befitted
in a very grand get-together in Heaven with their Master (The Bridegroom). They
will thus inherit the Kingdom of God in Heaven.
This is well captured in the
book of Revelation 19:7-9 ‘“Let us rejoice and be glad and
give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made
herself ready. Fine linen, bright and clean, was given her to wear.” (Fine
linen stands for the righteous acts of God’s holy people.) Then the angel said
to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of
the Lamb!” And he added, “These are the true words of God.”’

REPENTANCE PRAYER:
Precious Jesus,
I acknowledge today that you are LORD and Savior
of all mankind,
and today I have recognized my shortfall,
I Repent and turn away from all Sin.
Please cover me with your Precious Blood,
and establish your Word in my life,
that I may be found in Righteousness and
Holiness
and write my name in your Book of Life
and baptize me with the power of the Holy Spirit
in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
