In the Times of the Old,
during the Abrahamic and the Mosaic Dispensation, there was a group of People
known as The Nazarites. These were a Special People before The LORD, because
they had Separated themselves and Consecrated themselves unto The LORD. They
were thus a Holy People, a Chosen People, a Special People and a Peculiar People.
Meaning that The Nazarites’ Service
was unto The LORD. Their Worship was unto The LORD. In other words, they served
The LORD and indeed worshiped The LORD: The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
(Israel). The God of Moses.
A Classic example of a Typical
Nazarite was Samson; The Mighty Warrior of The LORD. The LORD set him apart, even before he
was placed in his mother’s womb. There were Special instructions from The LORD,
on how he was to be handled, including when he was still in the womb and when
he was growing. Meaning that he had been ordained by The LORD, even before he
was put in his mother’s womb. In other words, The LORD knew him before he
placed him in his mother’s womb.
The vow to be a Nazarite, was
essentially a vow of embracing Repentance, Righteousness, Holiness, Truth and
Complete Surrender & Submission to The LORD.
So, just as it was during the
Abrahamic and Mosaic Dispensation regarding a Nazarite, so it is during the
Present Messianic Dispensation. The Messianic Dispensation is a Dispensation of
The Renewed Covenant. It does not mean that the Abrahamic and The Mosaic
Covenant is done away with, but it means that it (they) are fulfilled in The
Messianic Dispensation through The Renewed Covenant of The Blood and The Cross
of The Messiah Jesus Christ. The Messianic Dispensation is thus a moment of a Refined, a
Renewed and a Fulfilled Covenant.
Therefore, being a Messianic
Nazarite (for The Present/Current Dispensation) follows the same Basic &
Fundamental Principles, Criteria and Requirements of The Abrahamic & Mosaic
(Moses) Nazarite. So these Basic Principles are what The LORD is going to help
us Breakdown in the subsequent segment Below:
1- Separation/Consecration/Holiness: A
Messianic Nazarite must thus be separated from Spiritual Pollution. Meaning
that he/she must be set apart for The Glory and Honour of The LORD. In other
words, he/she must be Holy unto The LORD. This is very well captured in the
Reflection of the Abrahamic and the Mosaic Dispensation in the Book of Judges 13:5 which is written as
follows: ‘“ For,
lo, thou shalt conceive, and bear a son; and no razor shall come on his head:
for the child shall be a Nazarite unto God from the womb……………”’
This is also very well
captured in the Book of 1st Peter 2: 9-10 which is written as follows: ‘“But you are a
chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people,
that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into
His marvelous light; who once were not
a people but are now
the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.”’
The same is also captured in
the Book of Hebrew 12:14
which is written as follows: ‘“Pursue
peace with all people, and
holiness, without which no one will see The LORD.”’
2- A Messianic Nazarite relies on the Instruction (s) of The LORD through The Holy Spirit and the written Holy Word of The LORD (The Holy Bible). Meaning that a Messianic Nazarite relies on The LORD on how to carry out himself or herself before The LORD, in his or her daily activities and daily endevours. This is very well captured in the Reflection of The Abrahamic and Mosaic Dispensation in the Book of Judges 13: 13-14 which is written as follows: ‘“So the Angel of The LORD said to Manoah, “Of all that I said to the woman let her be careful. She may not eat anything that comes from the vine, nor may she drink wine or similar drink, nor eat anything unclean. All that I commanded her let her observe.”’

She may not eat anything that comes from the vine, nor may she drink wine or similar drink, nor eat anything unclean. All that I commanded her let her observe.”’
This is also very well captured in the Book of John 8:31 which is written as follows: ‘“Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”’
3- A Messianic Nazarite offers unto The
LORD an acceptable Worship: The Worship in Spirit and in Truth. This
is very well captured in the Reflection of The Abrahamic and Mosaic
Dispensation in the Book of Judges
13: 15-16 which is written as follows: ‘“Then Manoah said to the Angel of The LORD, “Please let us detain
You, and we will prepare a young goat for You.” And the Angel of The LORD said
to Manoah, “Though you detain Me, I will not eat your food. But if you offer a
burnt offering, you must offer it to The LORD.” (For Manoah did not know
He was the Angel of The
LORD.)”’
The same is very well captured
in the Book of John 4: 23-24
which is written as follows: ‘“But the
hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in
spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship
Him must worship in spirit and truth.”’
4- A Messianic Nazarite is sent by the
LORD to Serve The LORD, in sharing forth and spreading forth His
Message/Word, in Delivering forth (through Jesus Christ) those who are in Bondage
of slavery of sin. This is very well captured in the Reflection of The
Abrahamic and Mosaic Dispensation in the Book of Judges 13: 5 which is written as follows: ‘“For behold, you shall conceive and bear
a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazarite
to God from the womb; and he shall begin to deliver Israel out of the hand of
the Philistines.”’
The same is also captured in
the Book of Judges 13:12
which is written as follows: ‘“Manoah
said, “Now let Your words come to
pass! What will be the boy’s rule of life, and his work?”’
This is also well captured in
the Book of Mathew 28: 18-20
which is written as follows: ‘“And
Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me
in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the
Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded
you; and lo, I am with you always, even to
the end of the age.” Amen.”’
5- A Messianic Nazarite must be careful
to be Obedient to The LORD, and to Pursue Righteousness before The LORD. A Messianic
Nazarite is thus to walk in Righteousness before The LORD. His or Her
assignment is to Pursue Righteousness before The LORD, by being Right before The
LORD. By being spiritually sober (devoid of spiritual drunkenness associated
with idolatry and false worship) before The LORD.
6-The Promise of The LORD is fulfilled
in the Life of The Messianic Nazarite; according to the Perfect Plan, The
Perfect Will and The Perfect Timing of The LORD. For
The LORD is always faithful in His Word, as is written in His Holy Book: The
Holy Bible.
7-The Presence of The LORD is upon The
Messianic Nazarite, through The Holy Spirit. This
is very well captured in the Reflection of The Abrahamic and Mosaic
Dispensation in the Book of Judges
13: 24-25 which is written as follows: ‘“So the woman bore a son and called his name Samson; and the child
grew, and The LORD blessed him. And the Spirit of The LORD began to
move upon him at Mahaneh Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol.”’
This is also very powerfully
captured in the Book of Mathew 11:
28-30 which is written as follows: ‘“Come
to Me, all you who
labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you
and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest
for your souls. For My yoke is easy
and My burden is light.”’
8-The Vow to be a Nazarite is a Vow of
Salvation. The Messianic Nazarite has thus taken the vow
of Salvation, through The Blood of The LORD Jesus Christ. They are thus
essentially Born Again and are Saved. This
is very well captured in the Reflection of The Abrahamic and Mosaic
Dispensation in the Book of Numbers
6:21 which is written as follows: ‘“This
is the law of the Nazarite who vows to The LORD the offering for his
separation, and besides that, whatever else his hand is able to provide;
according to the vow which he takes, so he must do according to the law of his
separation.”’
This is also well captured in
The Book of John 3:3 which is
written as follows: ‘“Jesus answered
and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again,
he cannot see the kingdom of God.”’
May The LORD help you to be a
Messianic Nazarite. And may He Sustain you, Help you, Direct you, Guide you,
Comfort you, Control you and Counsel you on The Path of Messianic Nazaritism.
Actually, only The Messianic Nazarites will be taken to Heaven, at the Coming of The
Messiah Jesus Christ to Rapture (Suddenly Take up to The Sky en-route to
Heaven) His Bride. This essentially means that The Bride of Christ is actually
The Messianic Nazarites.
