THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP, SERVANT-HOOD, SALVATION AND TRUE WORSHIP:

When I finished my High School (1999) and had Passed with “Flying Colours”, and had consequently gone to collect my High School Examination Certificate in early 2000 (This was Maranda High School, in Kenya), My High School Principal (Elly Wanyonyi Osiemo) and one of my History & Government Teachers (Mr. Ayiro; who later became The Deputy Principal) called me aside to have a chat with me. They implored on me to consider Pursuing Law Degree at The University of Nairobi; so that I could become a Lawyer. They felt that I could make a good Lawyer---because of the Qualification Credentials therein.

But at that time, I was more personally inclined to pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, and an Accounting Profession. I didn’t want to Pursue Law (with all due Respect to Lawyers), because I felt being a Lawyer could be very “Chaotic” in terms of handling Legal cases. At that Time I was of the view that I wanted to eventually have a “Quite” Profession like in Financial (Business) Management.

Anyway, years later after Graduating with Bachelor of Commerce Degree and becoming a Fully Certified Accountant, and being in Financial Management Profession for about 10 Years, I eventually Left it All; to Pursue my First Calling: The Call of The LORD, to Serve Him. What a Mighty God we Serve. Glory be to The LORD God Almighty, The LORD Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit.

That is how I by-passed being a Lawyer to eventually become a Full-Time Servant of The LORD; A “Defender” of The Gospel. A “Lawyer” of The Gospel. Thus, my "Tool of Work" and "Constitutional Reference Point" became The Holy Bible.

But Remember, The Ultimate Advocate (Lawyer) for all of us, as far as The Kingdom of The LORD God Almighty is concerned is Jesus Christ The Messiah.

SHALOM!!!

NOTE: There is no problem of being a Lawyer, Accountant, Financial Manager etc. You can serve The LORD while doing the same.

Leaving it All (The Professional Career) is a Personal Decision; which one should make only if The LORD has Personally spoken to you about it---as He did with me (Through Tremendous Visitations of The LORD through Visions of The LORD/Supernatural Dreams of The LORD) and even Confirmations through other channels.

It comes with many Challenges, but The LORD is always Faithful. For me it’s a Price that is/was worth Paying. The Price to “kill” a Career, and to Serve God Full Time. I enjoy it; by the Grace of God, and I give All Glory and Honour to The LORD God Almighty, The LORD Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit.

That Path I took is not meant for everybody; only those The LORD decides to pass through it. So that when you do it, you do it out of Conviction and not out of Fear (Worry). Therefore, you don’t have to follow that Route. You can remain in your usual Career, and still Serve God and Worship God.

Anyway, the above Story was just a By The Way. Let’s now get to more “Serious Matters”.

THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP, SERVANT-HOOD, SALVATION AND TRUE WORSHIP:

This moment in time, I want to expound on Scenarios that you are most always and most likely to encounter when you are a Truly Born-Again Christian; Serving God in Purity, Faithfulness & Humility and Worshiping The LORD in Spirit & in Truth:

1-You will find yourself isolated by most (if not All) of your Family members (Including even very close Family Members; close by design and structure) and your Friends/Colleagues (including even some in the Church) OR you will find yourself isolating yourself from some of the Family members and some of those who essentially used to be your Friends, because your approach to Life will have Tremendously Changed. For your Focus will now be on how to Serve God (in Purity, Faithfulness and Humility), how to Please God and how to Worship God in Spirit and in Truth.

Your Best Friend will essentially now be The LORD; your Perfect Companion. On the Surface, you may even appear “Lonely” (and indeed be “Alone”); but be assured you are not Alone---For your Best Friend The LORD God Almighty, The LORD Jesus Christ and The Holy Spirit is and will Always be with you----in your Going and in your Coming.

It doesn’t mean that you avoid your Family or Friends (for even them they need to hear the Good News of Salvation of Christ Jesus); especially from You. But at the end of the Day, everyone in their individual Capacities Must Choose whom they are going to Serve.

In the Past, some of your Friends (and even some of your Family) would have expected you to engage in Alcohol Drinking sprees and other sinful Sprees with them, but now your Desire is only to be found in the Presence of The LORD; pursuing Righteousness and Holiness.

Of course whenever you meet them, you need to Relentlessly tell them about Salvation of Christ Jesus, and The Kingdom to Come (The Kingdom of The LORD God Almighty in Heaven) and how to Prepare The Way for it.

2-You will find most of those who used to be your Friends (and even most of—if not All of your Family members) getting irritated by your frequent talk about Jesus Christ The Saviour of Mankind. Some will Outrightly tell you off and Reject you. Not knowing that it is not you they are Rejection, but Jesus Christ The Saviour of Mankind.

3-Many People (most Friends and most Family; if not All) will not understand you, they will say: “you have really changed”. This is because your approach to doing things and even your Reasoning will now be Christ-centered and Heaven-centered. You will no longer be operating on Peer-Pressure mode, Societal-Pressure mode, Family-Pressure mode, and any other Mode-------except The Mode of Salvation, The Mode of Repentance, The Mode of Holiness, The Mode of Righteousness, The Mode of Complete Surrender & Submission before The LORD etc.

That is The Cost of Discipleship: The Cost of Salvation. The Cost of Serving The LORD in Purity, Faithfulness & Humility. The Cost of Worshiping The LORD in Spirit and in Truth.

That is a Cost that indeed is worth Paying.

Remember, the Journey on The Narrow Road/Path (the Highway of Holiness, the Highway of Righteousness, the Highway of Repentance) is not by Might nor by Power, but by The Mighty Holy Spirit.

SHALOM!!! SHALOM!!! SHALOM!!!

Exodus 33:12-17 ‘“Then Moses said to The LORD, “See, You say to me, ‘Bring up this people.’ But You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have also found grace in My sight.’ Now therefore, I pray, if I have found grace in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your sight. And consider that this nation is Your people.” And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here. For how then will it be known that Your people and I have found grace in Your sight, except You go with us? So we shall be separate, Your people and I, from all the people who are upon the face of the earth.” So The LORD said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.”’

1st John 2: 1-2 ‘“My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.”’

Mathew 19: 28-30 ‘“So Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life. But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”’

Luke 14: 25-33 ‘“Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple.”’

Mathew 12: 46-50 ‘“While He was still talking to the multitudes, behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak with Him. Then one said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak with You.” But He answered and said to the one who told Him, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”’

Luke 9: 57-62 ‘“Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that someone said to Him, “LORD, I will follow You wherever You go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.” Then He said to another, “Follow Me.” But he said, “LORD, let me first go and bury my father.” Jesus said to him, “Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and preach the kingdom of God.” And another also said, “LORD, I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who are at my house.” But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”’

Mathew 28: 18-20 ‘“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”’

Zechariah 4:6 ‘“So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of The LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says The LORD of hosts.”’

PREPARE THE WAY FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN ABSOLUTE REPENTANCE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS, TRUTH AND COMPLETE SURRENDER TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST (YESHUA/YAHUSHUA HA MASHIACH). TIME IS ABSOLUTELY OVER; THE MESSIAH JESUS CHRIST IS IMMINENTLY COMING TO PICK HIS BRIDE!!!

REPENTANCE PRAYER:

Precious Jesus,

I acknowledge today that you are LORD and Savior of all mankind,

and today I have recognized my shortfall,

I Repent and turn away from all Sin.

Please cover me with your Precious Blood,

and establish your Word in my life,

that I may be found in Righteousness and Holiness

and write my name in your Book of Life

and Baptize me with the Power of The Holy Spirit

in The Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

AMEN.

Your Brother in Christ Jesus, and a Shepherd of The LORD,

  1. God bless you...interesting article...truly you are never alone with Jesus because He's the BEST FRIEND EVER. Yes, family and friends may shy away from you but in Heaven, when they see who you really are/were, they will rejoice knowing you. It was you who was the STRONG one, even though supposedly 'alone' even though they may be with 'many' they are the ones who are truly alone.
because your inner strength comes from the LORD while their earthly strength comes from their friends, family, etc...but INNER strength is more superior than outer appearances or actions.
It's always the STRONG QUIET ones you need to be aware of. GOD bless you....i think this is common for many true worshippers of God...many of the article rings true I think for many too. God bless you...soon it'll be time to see JESUS and live with HIM forevermore where no more feeling lonely or different spiritually. remember Jesus was lonely too and considered different by many too...so God wants us to be like Him so if you're feeling lonely, it's right on where you should be...means you're closer to God!!!

  2. To what end are innumerable laws passed in reaction to the breaking of any number of existing laws? You could say that it's either incompetence and/or depravity, seeking righteousness unto themselves.
