Zerubbabel faced a mountain in
his life. In his going and in his coming, he faced the mountain; a great mountain.
The mountain was most likely a
cause of distress, anguish, anxiety and stress to him. It probably was a
nightmare he ran into during the day, as well as during the night. He struggled
to overcome this particular mountain in his life, but to no avail; the mountain
was right infront of him, he couldn’t run away from it. He had to face it
head-on, but with no solution, despite his unrelenting attempts.
The mountain was probably a
sore to him; from the depths, the valleys and the heights of it. This mountain
essentially confronted him. But when Zerubbabel met The LORD (the word of God,
the message of The LORD), The LORD gave him (Zerubbabel) the secret/the Wisdom
of overcoming the mountain he faced.
The LORD ministered to him and
told Zerubbabel that his efforts and energetic pursuits were not going to yield
results in his attempts to overcome the mountain he faced in his life. The LORD
spoke to him and told him that his efforts and might that he relied upon in the
past, were still not going to help him overcome the mountain he faced.
The LORD then told him, that
only The Holy Spirit was going to not only move the mountain (s) in his life,
but to completely flatten (obliterate) it (them) and make it a plain.
Zerubbabel was thus told by The LORD that he needed to rely on The LORD to
overcome the mountain (s) he faced in his life; for only The LORD was the
answer to his trouble (s), challenge (s) and problem (s).
Therefore, you and I have a
deep message therein to tap into and draw from; the very deep wealth/treasure
that comes from The LORD: The reliance on The Holy Spirit to overcome our
mountains (anxiety, anguish, grief, stress, pressures, challenges, troubles or
whatever the names/description of the mountains we face in our life).
SHALOM!!!
Zechariah 4: 6-7 ‘“So
he answered and said to me: “This is the word of The LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not
by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says The LORD of hosts. ‘Who are you,
O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain! And he shall
bring forth the capstone With shouts of “Grace, grace to it!”’
